Occupational First Aid Course (OFAC)

Occupational First Aid Course (OFAC) is approved by Ministry of Manpower (MOM). OFAC is for individuals who require to meet the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act. OFAC is a classroom-based, instructor-led program with lectures and skills, hands-on training and demonstrations being conducted. The course will educate the students the critical skills in responding to emergencies in the workplace in current situations. The course includes occupational safety and CPR-AED modules to meet the guidelines and method stipulated by the Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council (SRFAC).

Adapting to technology and adjusting to difficult times today, we now provide Asynchronous and Blended E-Learning. This will allow one to attend and complete the theory lessons at one’s own pace and comfort outside their busy schedule.

With the new Occupational First Aid (Asynchronous and Blended E-Learning), we have also incorporated Team Building Course Elements to encourage the development of interpersonal skills such as Communication, Leadership, Trust, Problem Solving, etc

About the Course

The course gives activities, resources, and requirements that are aligned in the Singapore Workplace Development Agency (WDA) curriculum, training, and assessment guide (CTAG) for Workplace Frist Aid.

a) Personnel in corporate and community organizations
b) Security Officers
c) General public who are keen to learn and skilled in life-saving techniques

course Prerequisites

Trainees enrolled in the Workplace First Aid are assumed to have the ff. skills & knowledge:
a) be able to listen & speak English at ESS level 5 (low intermediate)
b) be able to read and write in English at ESS level 5 (high intermediate)
c) be able to conduct simple mathematical operations at ESS level 5 (low intrmediate)

Course Objectives

At the end of this course, the trainees will be able to:

Have the knowledge and application skills in demonstrating frst aid, CPR+AED Skills

Apply Skills acquired in the Workplace

Occupational First Aid Course (OFAC)

Total Duration for Training: 23 hours 30 minutes

Breakdown of the Total Duration:
Theory and Demo: 20 hours 50 minutes
Assessment: 2 hours 40 minutes (Role play and Oral Assessment)

The course costs S$ 500(before GST)

Course fee after grant for
– Singaporeans above 40 pay only $85
– Permanant Residents pay only $135

Participants who complete this course will receive the following:
1) OFA Certificate (2 years validity)

2) CPR+AED Certificate (2 years validity)

Singapore Citizens who are eligible for Skillfuture Credit can use it for this course.

UTAP Members can opt to use their benefits when they sign up for this course.
Note: UTAP only covers 50% of course fees with a maximum of S$250/year. Other terms and conditions with UTAP apply.
