Additionally, this course benefits appointed first aiders, required by workplace safety regulations in settings with over 25 employees, ensuring immediate medical assistance is available.   3. Individuals interested to become a Standard First Aid Instructor. The Standard First Aid Certification is one of the requirements for Individual to teach Standard First Aid

    Where more than 25 persons are employed in a worklpace, there shall be appointed in the workplace as first-aiders who shall be readily available during working hours such number of persons as complies with the ration of one first aider for every 100 persons employed in the workplace or part thereof (Workplace Safety and Health (First-Aid) Regulations)
  5. Individuals keen on learning advance first aid skills and knowledge
Who Is Eligible?

Singaporeans and Permanent Residents (PRs) above the age of 21 are eligible for SSG funding. The funding amount is between up to 50-70% of course fees, depending on age and income-level.

Terms and conditions apply for funding. You must successfully complete the course in order to be eligible for funding. In the event you do not pass the course, you will need to make payment of the full course fee.

How Much Funding Will I Receive?

The following is an estimation of the grant amount, based on the prevailing grant calculator provided by TPG. The funding amounts are subject to change, and terms and conditions apply.

Course Duration: Online Learning ( Approximately 8 hours) + Onsite Practical & Assessment (Approximately 8 hours) 

About The Course

Standard First Aid Course (SFA) equips participants with the practical and theoretical skills and knowledge to react during emergency situation to Adult casualties, perform Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and use the Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) while maintaining self-confidence, composure and assurance to others.

Standard First Aid Course follows these guidelines specified by the Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council (SRFAC).

This course is for both Full and Refresher participants. The duration cannot be further compressed for Refresher participants.

Previously, the Refresher course (1.5 days) was shorter than the Full course (2 days) due to a shorter duration of time spent on the theory component. As all theory components are done online now via blended learning, both Full and Refresher participants will need to attend the 1-day session together to complete the practical components and assessments.

  2. Marymount MRT Station
  3. HarbourFront MRT Station
  4. MacPherson MRT Station

We are also able to conduct in-house training.

Declaration Of Medical Conditions

As part of the assessment requirements, participants must do 2 minutes of continuous chest compressions and this can be physically strenuous. Participants experiencing the following medical conditions are advised not to participate.
1) Now or has ever had or been bothered with any medical illnesses like back trouble, knee/joint/spinal injuries, heart trouble, high blood pressure, fainting spells, other physical conditions, or other medical disabilities or serious illness
2) Is currently pregnant
If you proceed with the course, please seek your doctor’s advice for the green light to continue, and produce the doctor’s letter. If you opt-out of the CPR+AED assessment during the course, you will not pass the course and instead, receive a Certificate of Attendance.
