Food Safety (Level 1 Refresher) course is essential for food handlers, including chefs, kitchen staff, and service personnel in NEA-licensed eating establishments. It’s also valuable for F&B industry professionals, such as managers, restaurateurs, and entrepreneurs. Mandatory for those involved in food preparation, it ensures compliance with licensing requirements, equipping participants with crucial knowledge of food hygiene and safety in their roles.

Food Handlers
(i.e. any individual who prepares food and beverage products in NEA-licensed eating establishments). Personnel primarily involved in serving F&B products to customers (e.g. managers, captains, waiters, cashiers, and other service staff).

This is a mandatory course for chefs, cooks, kitchen helpers, food stall assistants, anyone involved in the preparation and handling of food, and anyone planning to work in F&B establishments. Candidates certified competent will meet the licensing requirement to work as food handlers.
