Who Is This For?

Provide Quality Services course is for General Cleaner / Indoor Cleaner / Outdoor Cleaner / Healthcare Cleaner / Restroom Cleaner / Table-Top Cleaner / Dishwasher / Refuse Collector who need the required knowledge and abilities to provide customer service in accordance with organizational policy and procedures.

On successful completion, learners should be able to:

1. Identify triggers that may lead to service challenges by their behaviours
2. Carry out service recovery procedures in response to service challenges
3. Assess the needs and expectations of different types of customers
4. Handle customer and deliver service according to organizational procedures
5. Meet urgent customer needs with solutions from joint problem solving
6. Listen actively to customers and identify areas of improvement
7. Communicate service challenges effectively to management.

Under the Progressive Wage Model (PWM) for Cleaners, it is mandatory for workers to complete 2 approved courses. Provide Quality Services course is one of the approved PWM courses in the Recommendation Report published by Tripartite Cluster for Cleaners (TCC) (Addendum) on 14 December 2022 and will be accepted as one of the two mandatory courses

About The Course

The Food Services Progressive Wage Model (PWM) will have a “run-in” period from 1 March 2023 to 31 August during which MOM will not take enforcement action against employers that have yet to comply with Food Services PWM requirements.  One of the requirements is for workers to complete 2 WSQ courses from a list of approved courses of which Customer Service Excellence (Level 1) is one such course.
